Introductory Post!

Hi my name is Taylor Gandolfo and I was born in Houston Texas and I lived in Katy Texas for almost all of my childhood. I have three brothers and a black lab named Mercy. I was born and raised Catholic, so if you need a friend to go to mass with, I am your girl! I love being outdoors and doing anything athletic. I am always at Sewell Park or hiking a nearby mountain- come join me anytime! I currently work part-time as a waitress at the Gristmill restaurant in Gruene Texas. You have to swing by and try the onion rings! I am also a YoungLife leader who helps out with students at San Marcos High School.

Why do I want to teach? I want to become a teacher not only to be involved in my community, but to serve the people in it as well. Teaching is a job with a lot of variety that truly can make a significant different and impact in a student's life. I have always loved being in the classroom environment, so being on the other side is something I've been passionate about. There have been a few teachers within my family, so I got to grow up and see the "behind the scenes" of what it truly means to be a teacher, and that made me love it even more. I had an overhead projector in my childhood bedroom and would make my brothers do  my math lesson during the summer, so I think there is no better job for me!
